The 15th Annual ITA CityLIGHTS program honors companies and individuals whose innovation and success drive growth in the technology industry and Illinois

CHICAGO, IL – August 19, 2014 INOC, a 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) and global provider of NOC monitoring, reporting and support services, has been selected as a finalist for Illinois Technology Association’s 2014 ITA CityLIGHTS Outstanding Tech Development award.  The ITA recognized INOC’s proprietary NOC Console for its ability to substantially reduce operational expenses and downtime, while enabling rapid resolution to incidents, increased job satisfaction of customer network and IT support staff and, ultimately, improved service quality and end-user experience for INOC customers.

INOC’s internal NOC Console supports the operational framework and quality of its NOC services with extreme efficacy: detecting infrastructure and service failures, processing event data, registering and prioritizing trouble tickets, monitoring event resolution status, issuing notifications, managing escalations and communicating between NOC engineers, customers and suppliers.  Furthermore, it delivers Network and IT infrastructure information such as usage and performance trends, errors, device configurations and various other data.  The platform is highly flexible and designed to scale, so it can manage tens of thousands of network elements without the need for modifications to the underlying architecture.

“INOC is honored that the judges of the 15th Annual ITA CityLIGHTS Awards have recognized our NOC Console, innovation and achievements by selecting us as a finalist for the Outstanding Tech Development award,” remarks Prasad Ravi, CEO if INOC.  “We are privileged to be in good company among this group of finalists and contribute to driving growth in the technology industry as well as Illinois.”

The winners for each of the eight categories will be announced at the ITA CityLIGHTS Awards on Thursday, September 18 at Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago.  Each year, ITA CityLIGHTS attracts more than 600 people from 400 organizations including business owners, investors, legislators and policymakers.

The public can contribute to the selection of this year’s winners by voting from August 19–September 8 at itacitylights.com.  Winners will be determined by composite score (50 percent judges; 50 percent community voting) in all categories except the CityLIGHTS Award, which is determined solely by the ITA Board of Directors.

A panel of accomplished judges representing the who’s who in Illinois technology reviewed nominations to select the finalists.  This year’s judges hail from major organizations including Fieldglass, Google, HERE, Orbitz and World Business Chicago.  The list of past winners includes Gogo, Groupon, NAVTEQ, and Braintree, among others.

“Even after 15 years, I am still in awe of the caliber of finalists and companies we get to celebrate each year,” said ITA CEO Fred Hoch. “Our CityLIGHTS program is about raising the bar for the future of Chicago tech and I’m proud to say it gets a little higher and harder every year – sky’s the limit for INOC as far as I’m concerned.”
